MY STORY

My business, Cabin Pottery began a year after I started taking a nice stress-relieving pottery class on a Friday evening after work. Within a year I had left that job and career path, to start selling my work at craft events and stores around Maine. I couldn’t believe at the time it was possible for anyone to make a living selling a craft like pottery full time.
I’ve been a potter for over 20 years and still love meeting people who decorate their homes with my work. I enjoy hearing about that special mug they drink out of every morning, made right on my wheel and painted by these old hands.

I was born and raised in Mid-Coast Maine among the coastal beauty that draws people all over the US. In 2012 I moved to the Western Mountain Region where I was truly meant to live, among rivers, mountains, trails through woodland breathtaking views, and Maine’s incredible wildlife. All these life experiences have influenced my pottery and how I’ve decorated every piece. I have standard patterns inspired by my surroundings and I always seek time to create one-of-a-kind designs that are sparked by our family adventures.
Every piece is individually created and painted by me. No two are identical, however close they may look with all my efforts. They are durable enough to withstand daily use and decorated with such care to be a stand-alone centerpiece. I hope you enjoy my pottery as much as I do making it!
